KINGDOM KIDS- THE INSIDE SCOOP!

When you think about building the Kingdom, what images come to mind? Do you see building projects, traveling to different places, or prayer ministry? What about children’s faces?

“It is part of our call to always be expanding the Kingdom and investing in our children is a very real and tangible way to do that. Children are the most open to (receiving) The Gospel and are the easiest harvest to bring in,” says Kristal Tanguay, overseer of Kingdom Kids: Crossing Life’s Sunday morning young children’s program. As a mom of six, she sees deep value in being part of the children’s ministry because it is a call on every believer to pass the faith on to the next generation.

When we think about being a container for the Holy Spirit to move and work, there is a necessary need for setting up an environment that is conducive for allowing the kids to come and experience their connection with the Spirit of God.

Recently, Kingdom Kids completed “The Promise Series,” about God’s promises and how they are always true, although some take time. Next, they will explore how to serve others through “Knowing and Using Gifts,” including lessons on how God helps us, and how we can help others.

Participating in Kingdom Kids is a lot of fun, as different aspects of God’s character are experienced every Sunday. If you need a tip for practicing faith at home, Kristal suggests, “Engaging (them) in prayer sparks questions and leads to good conversation. That is a huge help for me and my kids.”

Kristal shares, “Volunteering also helps me know what my kids are learning every Sunday… We have a phenomenal team; I really love everyone who has taken the time to serve.” Currently, there are about twenty-two individuals helping with the children’s ministry, but there is an immediate need for about thirty. “If we are planning for revival, we will need to double that to help with the number of kids coming in,” she says.

Would you consider helping the next generation through our children’s ministry? Contact Kristal: kingdomkids318@gmail.com to learn how you can participate.
