The other day I needed to go through the sheep field, and one of the sheep cornered me, staring me down. Itrammed right into me. This sheep wanted to be left alone and wanted to protect himself.
Have you been that person that wanted to be left alone thinking it would protect you?
Do you refuse to trust those that just want to help?
Have you rammed into people with words that were painful?
I know I have.
For many years, I told people to leave me alone. I wasn’t going to open up or trust anyone. I did a really good job of it, literally shutting people out of my life who came too close to my wall of what I thought was protection. Then, a question that has forever changed my life came…” Have you forgiven?”
The simple answer was no, I hadn’t. Why? Because I had never grasped or understood that I too could be and have been forgiven! I had no real understanding of the cross and what it really meant.
I truly forgave and for the first time, I melted. I felt a love that I couldn’t explain. I had done the religious church thing on and off for so many years, but I never realized or grasped the power that the cross has.
My life has been radically transformed and yours can be, too. Are you willing to forgive others and put your life in the hands of an all-forgiving God so you can experience true freedom?
